Celebrating Love As an Action Verb™

A Memorial Gift pays tribute to the memory of someone whose Love As an Action Verb™ blesses and inspires you, still.  We are especially appreciative of requests by families that memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers. For more information and envelopes, etc., please contact us by clicking here or calling +1-708-420-LOVE (-5683).  Thank you.

Recently, we have gratefully received Memorial Gifts honoring:

  • John J. “Jack” Kane, Sr., much-beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
  • Heaven is a kinder place for Jack’s joining.
  • Thomas R. Rogala, beloved and Loving Husband and Dad, whose humor, gentle kindness, and creativity blesses Betty’s Love beyond measure and will inspire our work forever.  Our prayers and Love to Julianne, Chris & Kelly, Joy & Amy, their children, and all their family.  Tom IS painting again.  Tom IS.  Amen!
  • MaryLu “Tap” Grace, adored-and-adoring Wife and Mom, beloved woman, and deeply affecting Inspiration to Betty’s daughter.  Our prayers and sympathy go to Buck and all Tap’s beautiful family.  And a conversation with Tap continues … gimlet in hand at her end, for certain!
  • Donald James “Grandpa” Randa, whose kindness, interest in others, and passion for his family AND golf inspires Betty’s longtime mantra (and frequent Tweet):  KEEP Grandpa golfing! Play on, Grandpa!
  • John R. “Jack” Casey
  • Jean and Kenneth Cooke of Middleport, Ohio
  • Sr. Anastasia O’Connor, IBVM, inspiring and beloved “Aunt Pat” and formational influence to Betty’s Love and Betty’s daughter Maureen.  Sr. Anastasia passed on Easter morning – perfect transformation of a Life lived in testament to doing God’s Will and making the world better – for her family, students, and adopted ‘strays’ – by sharing her extraordinary and bountiful Gifts of brilliance, wit, and kindness.
  • John Brzuszkiewicz
  • Merle Gene Baird
  • Barbara J. Gallagher
‘Mrs. Gallagher’ has been a great supporter of Betty’s Love and is a Mother’s-Loving, much-beloved friend to our founder, Maureen. Barbara passed into Paradise far-too soon, with far-too-much more Love and laughter to give and receive.  All of us in Betty’s Love are grateful for the Gift of the life force “Mrs. Gallagher” IS – still, in the very present tense.  We grieve for (and with) her adored children, grandchildren, family, and friends (who are legion).  Heaven is a livelier, happier, more-Joy-full place with her in it.  Beannacht Duit, Barbara Jean.  Go raibh míle  maith agat.  Ta grá agum duit.  Sláinte!
  • Grace M. and Arthur C. Laine

  • Margaret “Fern” Sprecher
  • Phyllis L. Hineman
  • Merrily A. Barnes Kane A Betty’s Love supporter and lifelong mentor and friend of our founder, Merrily passed too soon in November 2010.  Leaving a legacy of Love, generosity, and selflessness, Merrily also leaves behind her adored eight children and seven grandchildren and her beloved husband, friend, and equilibrium, Tom.  Merrily’s loss is incomprehensible and permanently profound.  Thank you for your prayers for her family – and ours.
  • Patricia Muscato
  • Dennnis C. McKillip Beloved brother of Betty’s Benefactor Maggie Fossier, Denny will always inform and inspire Betty’s Love and our work with families living with – and thriving despite - Down syndrome.  With his twinkling blue eyes, quick smile, and engaging personality,  Denny charmed everyone he met – even late in his journey through Alzheimer’s.   Thank you for your prayers for Maggie and Denny’s caregivers.  We all will miss Denny – forever.
