Family Support Group
Together we can do what we cannot do alone….
“Michael* reviewed his notes … really made sense to him and gave him some comfort
knowing that this isn’t the way [his wife] really feels about him.”
— Feedback from a Private Family Meeting.
Embrace Support Group meets in prayer and fellowship to embrace and empower people who live with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and cognitive impairment … and their families, friends, and caregivers … and their friends and caregivers, too. Companions on your journey, we share: research and News You Use-with-Love™; our own stories of experience, Hope, Joy, and Love; and our renowned Tips o’the Day.™
Embrace meets regularly – including in our Heartquarters on Saturdays, 10:00-11:30 a.m. No fees are ever collected; of course, donations are always gratefully received. Reservations are requested so we may extend our best embrace. We also meet by phone, via Skype, and soon streaming live. Our Embrace fellowship is as diverse as dementia itself:
- Individuals and families interested in brain health and concerned about a Beloved One showing signs of dementia.
- Individuals, families, caregivers, and communities dealing with issues at every stage of dementia – from diagnosis to making a home safe to finding an in-home Caregiver to supporting parents who live out-of-state or in nursing homes.
- Compassionate caregivers of all illnesses and every Life challenge. (We find that challenges of Caregiving-with-Love apply to all illnesses.)
- Individuals whose Loved ones have already passed but whose experiences of Alzheimer’s and Caregiving-with-Love seem to continue nonetheless.
Embrace Meetings begin and end in interfaith prayer – and usually with hugs. The format always includes breaking News You Can Use, our renowned Tips o’the Day, and individual sharing. Sometimes, we also are blessed with input from specialists in myriad fields of mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health. Embrace Members gain a greater understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and Caregiving-with-Love and feeling embraced, empowered, and better able to journey through Alzheimer’s with Joy, Hope, confidence – and, always, Love.
Private Family Embrace and Meetings are also popular … ’cause you’re everywhere, your schedules are already overfull, and y’never know what a Saturday morning (or any next hour) will bring for a Caregiver-with-Love on this journey. (Again: We’re Betty’s Love. We get it!)
We invite you to peruse these pages. Tell us what your family needs. Share your Betty’s Love Story. Feel our Embrace.
You can do this. In Betty’s Love, you are not alone anymore. And you are Loved.
