A Little Limerick of Love©

There once was a smile known as Denny
and, in his eyes, it blessed oh-so many
wherever he went,
every energy spent
to bring Joy where there mightn’t be any.

His road was not easy, his life long.
And at times, he could be quite headstrong.
But his Spirit wouldn’t lag. He
had his champion, Maggie.
And we join her today in this song

of Praise and Thanksgiving for God’s Gift
in Denny – and here, now, we lift
Maggie and each friend
whose Lives now will wend
sans the light of Den’s smile, bright and swift.

But wait! Easter Sunday is nigh.
So, we’ll pause in our weeping to sigh
with blessed relief
in our Easter Belief:
Denny IS! God’s new Angel on high.

Our smiles now begin to replace
our tears – and our Joy grows apace
with images of laughter,
in Den’s Life hereafter
with clarity, his Family, God’s Grace.
