Begun in 2005 and 501c3 certified in 2007, Betty’s Love provides a practical, proven, positive approach to thriving despite Alzheimer’s, dementia, or any form of cognitive impairment. We ensure families find support they need, get information they deserve, and take action every day with all they CAN do to boost and sustain cognition and find JOY every day.
We are called Betty’s Love for two reasons. 1. ‘The’ Betty did ‘ordinary’ things with extraordinary Love – even in the late stages of her journey through Alzheimer’s. 2. We are proving every day that theonly thing someone living with cognitive impairment needs from everyone around her or him (one day/ADL/breath at a time) is: Love As an Action Verb.™
What inspires, motivates, and differentiates Betty’s Love?
We get it. Betty’s Love’s founder, directors and advisors, and volunteers live the journey. We are daughters and nieces, sons and nephews, spouses, siblings, grandchildren, and friends of people living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or cognitive impairments. We introduced and continue to innovate, practice, and promote awareness via our unique Care-with-Love philosophy.
We work ‘in the trenches’ with families like yours. All of our free and low-cost offerings serve people living with Alzheimer’s and cognitive impairment – and their families, friends, caregivers, and communities.
